World of Music Journeys
Saturday Morning Music Club

For ages 8-12

Music is good for everyone! Enrol your child in our Saturday music club, and they’ll join us on fun and inclusive music learning journey from the Caribbean to South Asia, from Africa to Britain. No previous skills are needed, and with a focus on heritage and folk music from different traditions, they will learn to play instruments, to sing in harmony, and to dance! They will also have the opportunity to work towards an Art Award.

Every child will be lent an instrument with no charge for the duration of their time with the programme. This might be a violin, a set of tabla, or any instrument that they experience during the workshops which they would like to have a go at! They can take this instrument home with them to practise between workshops.

Every Saturday during term time

St George’s Community Centre, Collyhurst, Manchester

In the first few weeks, we’ll be hosting steel pan workshops, and your child will learn to play the penny whistle.
